Chesterton, Ind. – Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute (LBJI) will host a BioniCare® clinic and seminar on Saturday, January 22, at 9:00 a.m. in its new state-of-the-art facility located at 601 Gateway Blvd. in the Coffee Creek Center in Chesterton, Ind. Open to the public while spaces are available, this clinic will inaugurate LBJI as an official center for BioniCare® treatments, as well as provide patients with the opportunity to learn about the BioniCare® BIO-1000™ System--the phenomenal new non-drug, non-invasive treatment for osteoarthritis of the knee.

Michael C. Leland, MD, board certified orthopedic surgeon, explained the profound impact he believes this new technology will have on those in the lake region who suffer from osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. “Osteoarthritis affects more than 21 million people in the United States and tens of thousands of people in our region. It starts as minor pain and gradually increases until it drastically decreases the knee’s mobility. 9:00 a.m.
The seminar will kick off with an overview from LBJI’s Dr. Leland on the basic science of arthritis and cartilage metabolism, followed by a presentation from a BioniCare® representative on the BIO-1000™ System’s development and clinical results from its use.

9:30 a.m.
A 15-minute question and answer session begins. Coffee and cookies will be available.

9:45 a.m.
Patients with prescriptions will have the opportunity to be measured for their own system, while individuals who have inquired about the system and scheduled “screening evaluations” will go to their exams with Lakeshore Bone & Joint doctors. Patients must understand that X-rays and MRI exams are not free of charge.

10:15 a.m.
If time permits, inquiring individuals without scheduled screening evaluations will also be able to have exams. After the screenings, candidates for BioniCare® will be measured for their system.
