Fort Worth, Texas — Regency RV announced today it is in full production of its 2019 Ultra Brougham Class B+ motorhome to a growing number of dealers nationwide. Like the popular Regency Xalta, the new Ultra Brougham is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform. According to the company, the first floorplan for the Ultra Brougham will be a single slideout Murphy bed configuration popular with traveling couples.
“We first exhibited our Ultra Brougham prototype at the Tampa show earlier this year to dealers and consumers,” said Regency RV National Sales Manager, Dymon Farrer. “Since then we have been busy getting feedback from our dealer network and our Xalta owners that have been waiting for our B+.” Farrer stated that the feedback resulted in major improvements and upgrades to the original concept coach and until then the company was not ready to go into full production of the Ultra Brougham.
Farrer reported that with a growing dealer body that just pushed over 20 outlets nationwide, the new Ultra Brougham would allow its existing Xalta Class B dealers a sell-up price point into the Regency Class B+ space and open up other higher end dealers as well.
“Because of our high level of quality, since Regency products are built one-at-a-time and not on an assembly line, we are seeing interest from many exclusive dealerships that specialize in high-end, Class A motorhomes.”
Farrer elaborated that both the Regency Xalta and its new Ultra Brougham are appealing to aging, former Class A owners looking to downsize to an easier to handle travel option with overnight capabilities. “Quite a few of our current customers were previous owners of Prevost and Newmar Class A coaches that have downsized to a Regency,” he said. “This is a nice space for us in the marketplace. It’s a niche we are targeting and doing well in with just the right dealers.”
Principal of La Mesa RV nationwide, Jason Kimbrell, also commented on the market space he sees Regency occupying. “Regency is attracting the prestige buyer, which is the Airstream buyer,” he said. “Regency is well positioned to compete in that space. This buyer wants a nicer unit with more custom features and is willing to pay a high premium to get a quality coach.”
A relatively young company, Regency RV achieved its Mercedes-Benz Master Up-fitter accreditation first in 2015. It still builds exclusively on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis in Fort Worth, Texas. Regency RV and The Wayne Davis Auto Group are a select group of highly skilled craftsmen who have a 50-year reputation restoring classic American muscle cars and exotic automobiles for the most discriminating buyers worldwide. The history of the company also includes building thousands of Regency custom conversion vans and trucks.
