Transwest Truck, Trailer & RV of Colorado Now a Select Dealer of Regency RV Luxury Class B Coaches with Four-Wheel Drive Option

Fort Worth, Texas - Regency RV, the motorhome division of Regency Conversions, a Wayne Davis Auto Group, announced today they have added Transwest Truck, Trailer & RV, headquartered in Brighton, Colorado to their roster of dealers selling their luxury Class B Motorhomes. The coaches are built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis in Fort Worth, Texas. Dymon Farrer, national sales manager for the company, said that Regency is looking for a very select group of dealers to take on, and Transwest was a "perfect fit."

"We're flooring a variety of floor plans in both full paint and monochromatic paint," said Transwest Sales Manager Steve Petley. The dealership is also floor planning a four-wheel version of the coach.  "We do really well here in Colorado with the four-wheel option," said Petley. "We have four seasons here. We get snow in the winter and have the mountain terrain. People go up in the mountains and like their coach to have a little higher clearance so they can go backwoods without bottoming out."

"When it comes to Regency RV dealers, we were looking for quality-minded stores like Transwest that want to offer variety over volume," said Farrer. "We don't want to become the biggest supplier in the Class B and Class B+ market. Our goal is to become one of the best-one of the most unique-when it comes to quality, fit and finish.

Transwest has been in operation since 1990 and selling RVs since 2006. They currently have locations selling RVs in Fountain, Frederick and Grand Junction Colorado selling diesel Class A, Class B and Class C RVs and are partial to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. "We sell a lot of the Sprinters," said Petley. "Because of the altitude and the mountains we have a lot of hard pulls, so the diesel product is really popular out here and the Sprinter is really good at getting up the mountain."

The company is also a Freightliner dealership and sells light, medium and heavy-duty trucks as well as commercial trailers, horse trailers and livestock trailers. Their experience with selling trucks gave Transwest a working knowledge of the history of the well-respected Regency legacy from the truck and van conversion side of the business. "We know the Regency name because we've also had GMC dealerships," explained Petley. "It's a name that people in and around our market know and it's a name we've dealt with successfully before."

One of the top selling points for Regency RV Class B coaches is that they aren't built on a conventional assembly line, but rather one at a time with most components, like the handcrafted cabinetry and upholstery, crafted in-house by hand. "We've had very good reviews of the product," said Petley. "The staff likes it and we've had some good feedback from customers. We carry other Class Bs and what they like about Regency is that it is simple but elegant with a nice, high-quality look to it."

The team at Regency is pleased with this feedback in such an important market. "Interest in our RVs is quickly growing nationwide," said Farrer. "We're proud to add Transwest to our small, select list of dealers and are excited about selling the Regency Class B motorhome in Northern, Western and Southern Colorado."
